The MATE4MEAT project was proudly represented at the RAISA25 – National Meeting on Agriculture and Agri-Food in Algeria, which took place on 14–15 May 2025 in Tizi-Ouzou. Our partners from the University of Bejaia took the stage to present the project’s latest developments in biodegradable packaging solutions for red meat.

RAISA25 gathered key stakeholders from across Algeria’s agricultural and agri-food sectors to discuss the future of sustainable food systems. The event served as a platform for sharing innovative research, fostering collaboration, and addressing challenges related to food security and environmental impact.

MATE4MEAT’s presentation focused on the urgent need for sustainable alternatives to conventional plastic packaging and demonstrated how our biodegradable solutions contribute to reducing waste while maintaining food quality and safety.
